Rob is Head of Investment Banking at Stifel in Europe. He joined Stifel following the takeover of Oriel Securities, where he led Corporate from January 2014. Prior to joining Oriel, he worked for Collins Stewart, where he oversaw the integration with Canaccord Genuity in 2011-12 and was Head of Securities, responsible for all research, sales, and trading in Europe. Rob started out with Collins Stewart as a consumer research analyst, covering brewers, food manufacturing, tobacco, and household and personal care from 2005-2010. In the early part of his 20-year career in finance, Rob was consumer and retail research analyst at HSBC (2001-2005) and previously qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte. Rob holds an MA from Cambridge University in English Literature.

David has over 30 years of corporate finance and corporate broking experience. He spent twelve years in the corporate finance division of Schroders, including four in Sydney.
From 1996, he worked as a Director of Close Brothers Corporate Finance, developing its business advising mid-capitalisation companies across most industry sectors.
He joined Oriel Securities in 2003 and became Head of Corporate in 2009 and Head of Corporate Finance in 2014, a position he retained following the acquisition of Oriel Securities by Stifel. He is a law graduate and a Chartered Accountant.

Tim is a Managing Director responsible for the European Consumer, Retail & Leisure Investment Banking team in London.
Tim has nearly 30 years of corporate finance experience and has led over 100 transactions across a variety of industry sectors (with a strong focus on consumer) and geography in both the private and public sectors. He has advised over £55 billion of M&A transactions and £15 billion of capital markets transactions. Prior to joining Stifel, Tim was most recently the deputy Head of Corporate Finance at Cantor Fitzgerald and head of its consumer team. Previously, he was a Partner heading Ernst & Young’s capital markets and consumer practices, ran Corporate Finance for Houlihan Lokey, and was a Managing Director at HSBC in Europe and Asia. Tim also has held senior positions with Lazard and Barings.

Prior to joining Stifel in Europe as a Director, Consumer, Retail & Leisure, Eric spent a year at Cantor Fitzgerald and six years at HSBC Investment Banking, where he was a Senior Vice President for the Retail and Luxury sector coverage team in London. Eric has advised both private equity and corporate clients in the UK and Continental Europe and conducted a wide range of transactions in the broader retail sector, including buy-side, sell-side, IPO, LBO financing, pre-IPO financing, and dividend recapitalisation. His sector expertise includes: Apparel, Luxury Goods, Health and Beauty, Specialty Retailing, E-retailing, Restaurants, and Leisure. Eric holds an MBA from London Business School.

Lionel joined Oriel in November 2014. Lionel followed his graduation in Aerospace Engineering from ISAE Toulouse and the University of Stuttgart with an MBA from Manchester Business School. In 1997, he joined the group finance division of BASF. From 1999, Lionel worked for a number of City firms including SG Hambros and CIBC. He more recently worked as a Director for Jefferies’ Industrials & Services investment banking team, developing its business across Europe. Lionel has over 15 years of corporate finance experience advising mid-market companies on M&A and restructuring transactions as well as raising debt and equity capital, specializing in industrials and services-orientated sectors.

Jonathan leads the Healthcare team in Europe. Prior to joining Stifel, he spent six years in Corporate Finance at Nomura Code. He previously was biotech equity research analyst at Credit Suisse (number one team ranked by Institutional Investor) and Evolution.

Neil joined Stifel in June 2010 from AXA Investment Managers (UK) Limited. He has over 18 years’ experience in the sector, having begun his career as an investment manager with City of London Investment Group in 1997 and rapidly progressing onto a wide range of roles within the sector. Neil’s experience has been across all spectrums of the investment funds business from both a buy-side and sell-side perspective.
Neil joined Stifel to take up the Corporate Broking position within the Investment Funds team. Neil’s role in Corporate Broking includes all aspects of capital raising, shareholder relations, marketing services, and board reporting.
Neil has also worked at RCM (UK) Limited and Morgan Stanley Quilter. Neil’s roles have included advising the boards of investment companies, corporate sales, product development, and he has been an investor in the sector on behalf of managed funds.

Mark joined Stifel in July 2013. He has 28 years’ corporate finance, broking, and advisory experience, of which the last 19 years have been in the Investment Funds sector. He has acted as corporate broker to a wide range of investment trusts and other listed closed-end funds at HSBC Bank and Deutsche Bank. During 11 years at HSBC, as director in a funds and fund derivatives group, Mark also established and operated UCITS and non-UCITS fund platforms, and managed accounts. He has worked on a large number of new issuance, restructuring, and advisory projects.
Mark has also worked for NatWest Markets and Baring Bros. in mergers and acquisitions and corporate advisory roles and began his career at KPMG as an auditor.
A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, Mark holds an MA (Hons) from Oxford University.

Ashton has 16 years of corporate broking experience – exclusively focused on the Oil & Gas sector.
He has served as Corporate Broker to several Oil & Gas clients: ADSS, Faroe Petroleum, Hague & London Oil, JKX Oil & Gas, Mitra Energy, Pantheon Resources, Volga Gas, and Wentworth Resources.
Ashton has significant transaction experience in the sector, with over $2.5 billion of funds raised for companies including Faroe Petroleum, Aurelian Oil & Gas, Ophir Energy, Borders & Southern Petroleum, Pantheon Resources, Falkland Oil & Gas, Salamander Energy, JKX Oil & Gas, Savannah Petroleum, Swala Energy, and Wentworth Resources. Transactional experience includes varying structures, including rights issues, placings, open offers, convertibles, and various combinations of these.
He has been involved in several M&A transactions, including Aurelian Oil & Gas and Valiant Petroleum, providing valuable investor insights to clients throughout the process.
Ashton joined the firm in 2010 from Panmure Gordon, where he was a Director in Corporate Broking.
He has an MBA from the University of Buckingham.

Callum has ten years of experience in corporate finance – exclusively focused on the Oil & Gas sector.
He has advised AIM, fully listed, and private companies on a wide variety of transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, takeover offers, IPOs, and secondary offerings.
He has significant transaction experience in the sector on behalf of clients including Borders & Southern Petroleum, Faroe Petroleum, Savannah Petroleum, Sinochem, and Wentworth Resources.
Callum is a Qualified Executive for AIM and has in-depth knowledge of the Listing Rules, Prospectus Rules, and Disclosure and Transparency Rules as well as corporate governance.
He is currently Financial/Nominated Adviser to ADSS, Faroe Petroleum, Mitra Energy, Swala Energy, and Wentworth Resources.
Prior to joining Stifel, Callum worked at Panmure Gordon as a Director in the Corporate Finance team advising on Equity Capital Markets and Mergers & Acquisitions. He also served with the British Army for six years, including an attachment with the French Foreign Legion in South America.
Callum holds an MA in Modern Languages from Edinburgh University.

Mark graduated from The College of St Hild & St Bede, Durham University in 1990, joining the corporate finance department of Hill Samuel later that year. Whilst at Hill Samuel, he specialised in the real estate sector, as well as working as a member of the general transactions team. In 1994, Mark joined ABN AMRO (then Hoare Govett) in order to set up and run the Pan European real estate research team. From 2001, he was a member of ABN AMRO’s number one-rated smaller companies team, specialising in consumer-orientated sectors. During his time as a Real Estate sector analyst, Mark Young was ranked as highly as 2nd in the annual Extel survey and 1st in the Sunday Times StarMine survey. Since 2009, he has returned to corporate finance and has been involved in numerous IPOs and secondary fund raisings.

Stewart graduated from Cambridge University with a First in Biological Sciences. He started his career at Citibank in 1999 before joining Ernst and Young’s Corporate Finance team between 2001-2003, where he was involved in a variety of M&A and Corporate Recovery transactions.
In 2003, Stewart joined Nomura International’s Corporate Finance team covering global M&A as well as Healthcare Broking. In 2005, Stewart joined Collins Stewart and was involved in a wide range of fundraising and M&A transactions, for both AIM and Main Market clients, and joined Oriel in 2011.
Stewart has covered a broad range of sectors, primarily the Healthcare, Support Services, Media, and Oil and Gas sectors. Key clients have included Development Securities, Domestic and General, Energy XXI, Hogg Robinson, Spring Group, Vectura, and Wilmington.

Neil joined Stifel in connection with Stifel's acquisition of Thomas Weisel Partners in July 2010. He was previously an Associate at Thomas Weisel Partners and cofounded TWP’s Europe Technology practice in 2009. Neil previously spent five years in the Technology, Media & Telecoms and European Transaction groups at Dresdner Kleinwort in London, and has been primarily focused on the European Technology sector since 2004.
