Rob is Head of Investment Banking at Stifel in Europe. He joined Stifel following the takeover of Oriel Securities, where he led Corporate from January 2014. Prior to joining Oriel, he worked for Collins Stewart, where he oversaw the integration with Canaccord Genuity in 2011-12 and was Head of Securities, responsible for all research, sales, and trading in Europe. Rob started out with Collins Stewart as a consumer research analyst, covering brewers, food manufacturing, tobacco, and household and personal care from 2005-2010. In the early part of his 20-year career in finance, Rob was consumer and retail research analyst at HSBC (2001-2005) and previously qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte. Rob holds an MA from Cambridge University in English Literature.

Mark graduated from Durham University in 1990, joining the corporate finance department of Hill Samuel later that year. In 1994, Mark joined ABN AMRO (then Hoare Govett) in order to set up and run the Pan European Real Estate research team. From 2001, he was a member of ABN AMRO’s number one-rated smaller companies team, specialising in consumer-orientated sectors. During his time as a Real Estate sector analyst, Mark Young was ranked as highly as No. 2 in the annual Extel survey, and No. 1 in the Sunday Times StarMine survey. Since 2009, he has returned to corporate finance and has been involved in numerous IPOs and secondary fund raisings.

Stuart has over 20 years’ experience in M&A, Leveraged Finance and Private Equity Coverage. Stuart joined Stifel in 2018, having spent the past 4 years as Head of Sponsor Coverage at HSBC covering the mid-market. At HSBC, Stuart was involved in over 100 transactions including debt and M&A, working with virtually all of the Private Equity community and leading all of the strategic dialogue with the client base.

Tim is a Managing Director responsible for the European Consumer, Retail & Leisure Investment Banking team in London.
Tim has nearly 30 years of corporate finance experience and has led over 100 transactions across a variety of industry sectors (with a strong focus on consumer) and geography in both the private and public sectors. He has advised over £55 billion of M&A transactions and £15 billion of capital markets transactions. Prior to joining Stifel, Tim was most recently the deputy Head of Corporate Finance at Cantor Fitzgerald and head of its consumer team. Previously, he was a Partner heading Ernst & Young’s capital markets and consumer practices, ran Corporate Finance for Houlihan Lokey, and was a Managing Director at HSBC in Europe and Asia. Tim also has held senior positions with Lazard and Barings.

Mark brings more than 25 years’ experience in corporate finance & M&A. He has worked at Hill Samuel/Close Brothers, HSBC and most recently EY where he was an Associate Partner in the Consumer team focusing on the FMCG and retail sectors. He has advised on a range of transactions both in the UK and internationally, including public takeovers, acquisitions, disposals, debt and equity capital raisings and strategic advisory engagements. Prior to joining Stifel, he was a Managing Director at Houlihan Lokey’s M&A investment banking team, where he developed its Industrials business across Europe, primarily focused on building products, manufacturing, and chemicals. Prior to that, he started his career at RBS, where he was ultimately heading up the Building Materials corporate finance team, after which he had a brief spell at Unicredit as Head of General Industrials CEE. Sascha has over 12 years of corporate finance experience advising companies on M&A and debt/equity capital raisings.

Michael is a Managing Director with Stifel’s European Investment Banking Group in London and focuses on the industrial sector.
Prior to joining Stifel, Michael led the Industrial Products and Services sector at EY in the United Kingdom & Ireland. He began his career with DC Advisory, where he spent 10-plus years advising public and private companies across the industrial space. Michael also spent more than three years working with U.S. consolidators on European opportunities in New York. Prior to joining DC Advisory, Michael qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte.
Michael has extensive experience advising mid-market companies on both domestic and cross-border M&A, restructuring transactions, and raising debt.

Mr. Hoare has almost 20 years of experience in healthcare investment banking. Prior to joining the firm, he was Managing Director and Head of Global Healthcare at Commerzbank. He spent most of his career at Merrill Lynch, where he was the Managing Director responsible for the Northern European healthcare business and the animal health franchise. He serves as Chairman of the Bulldog Trust, Chairman of Chariot Innovations Limited (the commercialisation arm of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine), and is a Non-executive Director of Placehill Limited, and Laguna Ventures Limited.

Nicholas has almost 20 years’ experience in the Healthcare industry. He joined Morgan Stanley’s Healthcare Investment Banking Team in 2006, where he worked on a number of M&A and capital markets transactions. In early 2011, Nicholas moved to the Equity Capital Markets team at Jefferies in London, where he initially focused on raising equity capital across industries within the broader EMEA region.
In December 2013, Nicholas was named as one of the Top 40 Under 40 Rising Stars in Investment Banking by Financial News, partly in recognition of the more than 20 equity capital markets transactions he completed in 2013 alone.
Since mid-2013, Nicholas focused on raising equity capital for European healthcare companies, especially those companies in the biopharma subsector targeting investment from U.S.-based healthcare specialist investors. In January 2018, Nicholas moved to Stifel as a Managing Director on the Healthcare Investment Banking team to continue to focus on delivering equity financing solutions to Europe-based healthcare companies, but also with a broader remit across M&A and strategic advice.

Mr. Lees has 30 years’ of experience. Prior to joining Stifel, Mr Lees was Head of Global Equities at F&C Investments and Head of UK Equities at Deutsche Asset Management (Formerly Morgan Grenfell). He successfully built and managed large teams of Portfolio Managers and Analysts (25+) and was instrumental in winning over £15bn of new business.
He started his career at Samuel Montagu & Co. (later acquired by HSBC) in 1986.
Throughout his career, Mr Lees has worked closely with management and teams especially with growth companies. As a long-term investor, he has helped numerous companies raise money in the private sector, before supporting them in a market listing/IPO and then helping them develop into sizeable businesses over time.
He formally specialised in managing “High Alpha” U.K, European, and Global Portfolios (40 stock max).
Since joining Stifel, he has helped win a number of clients (e.g., Reneuron, Oxford Biodynamics, Net Scientific, and WanDisco). He has also participated in some significant capital transactions (e.g., Secure Income REIT).

Neil joined Stifel in June 2010 from AXA Investment Managers (UK) Limited. He has over 20 years’ experience in the sector, having begun his career as an investment manager with City of London Investment Group in 1997 and rapidly progressing onto a wide range of roles within the sector. Neil’s experience has been across all spectrums of the investment funds business from both a buy-side and sell-side perspective. Neil joined Stifel to take up the Corporate Broking position within the Investment Funds team. Neil’s role in Corporate Broking includes all aspects of shareholder relations, marketing services, capital raising, and board reporting. He has led over 50 corporate transactions raising, in excess of £5bn since 2010.

Mark joined Stifel in July 2013. Mark has 29 years’ corporate finance, broking, and advisory experience, of which the last 19 years have been in the Investment Funds sector. He has acted as corporate broker to a wide range of investment trusts and other listed closed-end funds at Stifel, HSBC, and Deutsche Bank. During 11 years at HSBC, as director in a funds and fund derivatives group, he also established and operated UCITS, and non-UCITS fund platforms, and set up managed accounts. He has worked on a large number of new issuance, restructuring, and advisory projects. Mark has also worked for NatWest Markets and Baring Bros. in mergers and acquisitions, and corporate advisory roles, and he began his career at KPMG as an auditor.

Ashton is a Managing Director of Stifel Nicolaus Europe’s corporate broking practice. He has 16 years’ experience in corporate broking and is focused exclusively on energy. Ashton has raised over $3.8 billion of equity capital for UK listed international oil and gas companies, including $1.8 billion since the start of 2017 representing a c.70% market share. Recent transactions include the largest ever AIM E&P fundraise ($530m for Hurricane Energy), the largest LSE Premium Segment E&P IPO ($460m for Energean O&G), as well as a $110 million AIM listing for Jadestone Energy, and $439 million for Diversified Gas & Oil. Ashton is currently a retained advisor to 10 E&P companies listed in London, and was rated first in the 2017 & 2018 Extel Corporate Broker rankings in oil and gas. Ashton was previously a Partner at Oriel Securities, and a Director at Panmure Gordon. He has an MBA from the University of Buckingham and an MA from Durham University.

Callum has thirteen years of experience in corporate finance and is exclusively focused on the Energy sector.

Gareth joined Stifel in 2014 from Canaccord. He has over 17 years of equity research experience in UK banking, most recently as a UK Banks analyst. Recent IPO work has included Shawbrook, Virgin Money, and W&G Investments.

Stewart graduated from Cambridge University with a First in Biological Sciences. He started his career at Citibank in 1999 before joining Ernst & Young’s Corporate Finance team between 2001-2003, where he was involved in a variety of M&A and Corporate Recovery transactions.
In 2003, Stewart joined Nomura International’s Corporate Finance team covering global M&A as well as Healthcare Broking. In 2005, Stewart joined Collins Stewart and was involved in a wide range of fundraising and M&A transactions, for both AIM and Main Market clients, and joined Oriel in 2011.

Tom has 12 years of corporate finance and corporate broking experience. He joined Stifel’s Investment Banking team in 2010 and has specialised in ECM and M&A across the real estate and investment funds sectors. He has advised on over 35 different public and private transactions totaling £1.2 billion of M&A and raising in excess of £2.3 billion in the capital markets. Highlights include the £210m IPO of Bilfinger Berger Global Infrastructure, £293m IPO of Secure Income REIT and the £1.1bn sale of Liberty Living to CPPIB. Prior to joining Stifel, Tom worked at PriceWaterhouseCoopers where he spent 5 years and qualified as a chartered accountant. Whilst at PwC, Tom worked firstly within the middle markets assurance team before moving into corporate finance where he worked on a number of transactions, including the insolvency of Lehman Brothers. Neil previously spent five years in the Technology, Media & Telecoms and European Transaction groups at Dresdner Kleinwort in London, and has been primarily focused on the European Technology sector since 2004.
