Benefits represent an important part of every Stifel associate's compensation package. We offer our associates a very competitive benefits package, which provides a variety of benefits for employees and their eligible dependents.
We Save Associates Money!
Flexibility allows eligible employees to elect benefit options to meet their unique needs and to change elections annually as their needs change. Stifel has designed the benefit program to allow for savings using pre-tax dollars. The plan design allows for substantial savings, reducing overall benefit cost. Stifel shares in the cost of most benefits, and in some cases, assumes the total cost of the benefit.
Our Current Benefits Package includes the following:
|Medical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription Insurance||Medical, dental, vision, and prescription benefits plans are offered to suit varying personal needs.|
|Health Savings Account||A Health Savings Account is available for associates participating in the aligning medical plan.|
|Healthcare, Limited Purpose Health Care, Dependent Care, and Commuter Flexible Spending||Flexible Spending programs are available for Healthcare, Dependent Care, and Commuter expenses.|
|Life Insurance||Company-paid life insurance benefits as well as optional supplemental coverage.|
|Accidental Death and Dismemberment||In addition to the basic life insurance benefits, Stifel provides a basic AD&D benefit. The AD&D will pay in addition to life insurance benefits. Supplemental coverage is available for the associate, spouse, or children.|
|Short-Term Disability||Stifel provides a Short-Term Disability benefit automatically upon the eligibility date at no cost. The benefit is based on years of service.|
|Long-Term Disability||A core level of disability coverage is provided at no cost up to normal Social Security Retirement age in the event of a long-term illness or injury. Optional Supplemental Long-Term Disability coverage is also available.|
|Long-Term Care||Long-Term Care Insurance is available and includes care received either at home or in a facility, when an individual needs assistance with activities of daily living or suffers severe cognitive impairment.|
|Stifel Profit Sharing 401(k) Plan||
The Profit Sharing 401(k) Plan provides eligible associates the opportunity to save for retirement by making pre-tax and/or Roth contributions effective the first of the month following 30 days of employment. The option is available to save between 1% to 100% of eligible earnings up to the IRS annual maximum. The plan offers daily valuations and transfers, a variety of investment funds, liberal loan provisions, Stifel Financial Corp. stock, and a 'self-directed' option.
A matching contribution is provided to associates working at least 1,000 hours in the calendar year and employed on the last day of the calendar year. Associates are fully vested in the Company's portion after three years. Rollovers from other qualified plans are accepted.
|Tuition and Certification Assistance Programs||Stifel believes in assisting associates in furthering their education. A tuition and certification assistance program is available.|
|MetLIfe||MetLife's Accident Plan is offered as a benefit option and includes monetary amounts for emergency treatment, injuries, and accidental death. In addition, Stifel offers MetLife's Critical Illness Plan, which also provides a monetary amount for many major illnesses.|
|Legal Services||Stifel offers this benefit option to both associates and dependents, which assists with certain personal legal services from experienced attorneys.|
|Auto & Home Owners Insurance Discounts||Discount auto and home insurance is available. Premiums are taken as post-tax deductions from payroll and adjust automatically with each policy renewal.|
|Lifelock Identity Theft Protection||If you become a victim of identity theft while you are a Lifelock member, Lifelock has a benefit option and will act on your behalf to repair any damage up to $1 million.|
|Travel Assistance and ID Theft Protection||Whether traveling for business or pleasure, Stifel offers a firm provided benefit of life insurance, emergency medical assistance, pretrip information, emergency personal services and identity theft assistance.|
|Employee Assistance Program||Access to work/life educational information is available to both associates and their eligible family members. Referral services and confidential counseling for a variety of personal and family issues is provided at no cost.|
|Paid Time Off||Paid Time Off (PTO) provides associates with the opportunity to manage their own time off for reasons such as vacations, personal/family needs, and illness. In addition, paid time off is provided to associates for bereavement, jury duty, and company holidays.|
Benefits Eligibility: Benefits are available to full-time associates working 30 or more hours per week and eligible dependents. Most benefits are available the first of the month following the date of hire.
